HandCraft FAQ
Frequently asked questions about HandCraft
What is HandCraft?
HandCraft is a content platform on Solana where creators sell, rent, and gate digital content — and collectors earn passive income by supporting the work they love.
What wallet do I need?
Any Solana wallet — Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, etc.
How do creators earn?
Three ways: sell NFTs (set your own price), offer time-limited rentals, and gate content behind subscriptions. Creators receive the majority of every transaction.
How do collectors earn?
When you own an NFT, you earn a share of every future sale, rental, subscription payment, and secondary sale royalty for that content. Rarer NFTs earn more — a Legendary earns 120x more than a Common.
Can I choose my NFT rarity?
No. Rarity is randomly determined at mint. That's what makes it fair — and what makes Legendary NFTs so valuable.
Can creators change the revenue split after I buy?
No. The collector share locks after the first NFT is sold. Early supporters always know what they're getting.
What content types are supported?
Videos, music, podcasts, audiobooks, photos, artwork, books, comics, games, software, datasets, and text posts — 17 types across 6 categories.
Can I rent content instead of buying?
Yes. Creators can offer 6-hour, 1-day, or 7-day rentals at their own price. Rental access expires automatically.
Where is content stored?
Files are stored on IPFS (decentralized storage). Ownership is tracked on Solana. Gated content is encrypted — only authorized users can access the full file.
